From 2 -4pm
We'll be celebrating Great Big Green week at June's Repair Café. Here's what's planned so far...
Seed swap
Plant sale
PLUS we'll have all our usual repairers primed for your wonky chairs, broken hairdryers, ripped trousers etc etc
Our Repair Café is run by volunteers, so what we offer depends on which of our repairers can be there on the day. We try to offer as much as possible, but can't promise that everything listed below will be available at every single Repair Café.
Here's a selection of what we try to offer;
General repair
Electrical repair
Clothing repair
Knives and tool sharpening
Second hand school uniform stall
Bike repair
Glasses repair
Jewellery repair
And don't forget that we always have tea and cake too!
The Repair Café is for everyone and we offer repairs and activities for free. If you can, please make a donation towards hall hire and our running costs.
Our Repair Café is run and led by volunteers. Could you help by giving up your time once every three months? We're a friendly team and we'd love to have you join us. Can't make every Café? That's no problem - we're looking for a large pool of volunteers to share the commitment around.
It's not just about the repairing - it takes a team of people to run the café. If you can help us to run and organise the café, or if you're an ace baker, or can help serving the tea and cakes, please get in touch
We always need repairers. Whether you come with a ready-made skill, or if you're interested in learning Portable Appliance Testing or how to sharpen knives, we'd love to hear from you. Get in touch
The Repair Café runs on the first Sunday of March, June, September and December.
Dates for 2025
Sunday 2 March - with Bike Repair
Sunday 1 June - with plant sale and seed swap
Sunday 7 September
Sunday 7 December
The Repair Café takes place at Wychwood Primary School. There's plenty of parking. Come and find us in the main school hall or, if the weather's nice, we'll be out on the playground.
