The Great Big Green Week is the UK’s biggest celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.
Held once a year, it sees people come together to unleash a wave of support for action to protect the planet. Tens of thousands of people in every corner of the country celebrate the heartfelt, brave, everyday actions being taken to stand up for nature and fight climate change.
Run by the Climate Coalition, there will activities taking place all across the country. Find out what's happening in the Wychwoods below.

St Mary's Church, Shipton under Wychwood
Learn about Eco Church and how we could become more environmentally aware. The Diocese is hoping that 10% of its churches will achieve the silver award by the end of next year. Anne Carter is coming to speak about how she helped St Giles, Standlake to become one of the first to achieve this.

St Judes Church, Milton under Wychwood
Families are invited to explore the story of creation at Milton Church. This will begin with the creation story told through Godly Play which invites people to wonder and then respond through craft and informal conversation over tea and cake. This is very informal and suitable for all ages.

Wychwood Runners will be taking in a run around Milton's green spaces with some special stops along the way where you can chat to local experts about natural highlights.

Come and see what's growing on your doorstep! A (free) nature walk for children from 8 years. Children must bring an adult. Walk will last between 1-2 hours. Then join us in the Community Orchard (next to the allotments on Church Road) for a picnic.
